Pedro works on sustainability of pork production by studying the intersection of animal health and the environment at a systems level. We apply nutritional evaluation of agro-industrial co-products using novel techniques. In addition to feed evaluation projects, Pedro is involved in projects on the management and control of infectious diseases transmission such as African Swine Fever in his appointment and with collaborations with the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Bio:
Pedro will lead research and communication projects on environmental sustainability of pork production.
