My research involves characterizing the effects of environmental stressors on the physiological functions of pigs. More specifically, I correlate the effects of stress with the associated gene expression patterns of metabolically and immunologically relevant tissues. My research provides a platform for understanding the metabolic and stress response of pigs. My ultimate research goals are to improve the efficiency of swine production and the profitability of swine producers.
