Dr. Catherine “Katie” Sanders

Sanders' research focuses on science communication across the food system, targeting consumers, producers, and Extension professionals. Through the exploration of values and culture, Sanders' work aims to connect evidence-based science to people's daily lives to support their decision-making related to food. Particular interests include agrifood technologies, contentious topics in the food system, and the social sustainability of agricultural innovations.


Dr. Katie Sanders helps support science communication research around public trust as well as developing training for graduate students and producers to enhance their science communication expertise across the industry.
